Frequently asked questions

There are at least three reasons to fuel your engine - two or four-stroke - with Marline Premium, the reference alkylate fuel.

  • The first is your health. Indeed, Marline Premium is a long and carefully refined fuel (alkylate), which has been rid of almost all the toxic chemical elements found in large quantities in SP95 or SP 98 fuel. This is the case for benzene, for example, an organic carcinogenic compound of which it is practically devoid.
  • The second is the health of your engine. The purity of Marline Premium prevents deposits of scale and unburnt residues that clog your engine, reducing its performance and increasing the risk of breakdown. In addition, the absence of solvents neutralises the risk of corrosion in the carburetion system.
  • The third and final benefit is the health of the environment. While a litre of unleaded petrol contains around a hundred hydrocarbons, a litre of Marline Premium contains only ten or so of the least polluting ones. For example, Marline Premium contains only 0.5% of aromatic hydrocarbons, compared with 35% in SP 95. The impact of exhaust gases on the environment is therefore significantly reduced.

You can store your MARLINE container for 3 years after opening and up to 5 years if it remains sealed. Ideal for wintering, your container must be stored vertically, in a dry place, and not be exposed to strong heat.

MARLINE Premium is a fuel largely free of materials hazardous to health, in particular thanks to the alkylation process and extensive refining. This is why it avoids the presence of carbonaceous residues causing engine clogging. In addition, the absence of ethanol reduces the risk of corrosion of certain components of your machine. In addition to protecting your equipment, Marline Premium also preserves the health of the user thanks to a content of harmful aromatic hydrocarbons that is practically zero.

Well-being of people, protection of machines, low impact on the environment... Marline Premium ticks all the boxes!

Most fuels, because they are not sufficiently refined and reprocessed, contain harmful chemical constituents like benzene, toluene, sulfur and aromatic compounds. Freed from a very large part of these pollutants by the alkylation process, MARLINE Premium significantly reduces the health risk for the user exposed to alkylate vapors and exhaust gases.

Premium fuel can be used by anyone and everyone for both domestic or commercial use

  • The exhaust gases produced by the combustion of Marline Premium in two and four-stroke engines reflect its chemical purity. Because where unleaded 95 or 98 fuel rejects a hundred or so chemical compounds, some of which are highly polluting (benzenes, aromatic hydrocarbons, etc.) in the form of gas or unburned fuel, Marline Premium produces only ten or so, some of which are the least toxic to humans, animals and plants.
  • In addition to this, there is a better performance in terms of carbon emissions (up to -10% compared to SP 95/98) and, for the Marline Premium two-stroke, the addition of a biodegradable lubricant.
  • Finally, Maline Premium cans are made from HDPE, a 100% recyclable plastic, and contain a fluorinated layer on the inside to prevent hydrocarbon migration.

Marline Premium is an alkylate fuel designed to power four-stroke and two-stroke engines (2.8% blend) of gardening and materials processing machines.

  • For private customers, the main machines concerned are lawnmowers, brush cutters, chain saws, hedge trimmers, etc.
  • For professional customers, the range of machines concerned depends on the sector of activity. For the Building and Public Works sector, the machines include cutting machines, core drills, generators, concrete mixers, etc. For the maintenance of green spaces, it will be all the tools dedicated to the mowing, pruning and cutting of plants. For forestry management, this would mainly be high-speed chainsaws.
